The Visual Design and Multimedia, Associate of Science Degree (A.S.) program is 100 quarter credits and can be completed in two (2) years if the student attends all terms consecutively.
The Visual Design and Multimedia, Associate of Science Degree (A.S.) program is practical application and involves intense online interactive learning. All classes are lecture based with learning activities and practical application laboratory for students to enhance their skills and abilities. Interactive virtual classrooms are part of the instructional process at Laurus College. Instruction may be supplemented with guest speakers in class.
Students in the Visual Design and Multimedia, Associate of Science Degree (A.S.) program complete challenging projects and assignments by using creative problem solving skills. Students communicate ideas through written and oral presentations in various courses throughout the program.
Students wishing to obtain the Visual Design and Multimedia, Associate of Science Degree (A.S.) from Laurus College need to meet all program completion requirements. Students must have completed a minimum of 100 quarter credits, and be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better to be eligible for the Visual Design and Multimedia, Associate of Science Degree (A.S.).

The college offers individual financial planning sessions for all students and their families. Financial Aid is available to those who qualify.
Laurus College is approved to offer federal financial aid to those students enrolled in eligible programs and for those who qualify for the federal programs. Laurus College is an eligible institution to offer Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized Direct Loans, Federal Parent Plus Loans, Federal PELL Grants, FSEOG, and Federal Work Study to eligible students enrolled in Laurus programs.

How can I find out which class I’m scheduled for?
You should receive an email at your Laurus College email the week before the term starts. If you haven’t received it, contact our Registrar Team at registrar@lauruscollege.edu. On the first day of the term, you can also log in to the My Laurus Student Portal to see your current enrollment.
How do I add / reschedule classes?
Students are scheduled for classes by the Registrar based on their program, with registration open until Thursday of the first week of the term. Upon enrollment, new students will be asked to provide both primary and secondary preferred class times. If you need to adjust your schedule after enrollment, please contact the Registrar at registrar@lauruscollege.edu. While every effort will be made to accommodate your preferences, specific class times are not guaranteed.
If you wish to add a second class after the term begins, consult your financial aid representative first to ensure your aid covers the additional course. Once confirmed, email the Registrar to finalize your schedule.

When do I receive my degree?
The process of reviewing your academic and financial records can take up to six (6) weeks. Your Career Services Advisor will contact you prior to the completion of your program to schedule a Career Services Exit Interview.
When will I receive my books for class?
Books are typically sent out during the week prior to the term start. All books are mailed through USPS and require a signature from the student in order for the book to be delivered. If your class requires an e-book, you will receive an email from Registrar with instructions on how to obtain your e-book. Your instructor will go over class resources and textbooks on the first day of class, as well as provide instructions on how to access the course learning materials.
When will I receive my laptop?
We use UPS not FedEx and campus-based students pick up on campus not all are sent out by mail.
I'm going on vacation during the academic term, what do I need to do?
Step 1) Inform your instructor so that you can make arrangements to watch the recorded lectures and complete the assignments for the time you will be missing. Step 2) Contact your Student Advisor at 805.267.1690 or studentservices@lauruscollege.edu to make a plan for that time period. It is best to make plans for vacations, trips and extended absences with your Instructors and Student Advisor at least two weeks in advance. Note: Recorded lectures are available to be accessed/viewed if using a phone or tablet But some assignments may not be available to complete or tun in using these devices.
When do class terms start / end? When do school- recognize holidays occur?
At Laurus College, programs are term-based with new classes starting every five (5) weeks. Check the Laurus College Catalog for scheduled start/end dates and school-recognized holidays. The calendar posted on the MyLaurus Student Portal should also feature the holidays for the current month.
